YTFocus ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome extension that helps users filter YouTube content using AI-based classification. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use YTFocus, we collect the following:

• Google Account Information: Your email address and Google User ID (sub), obtained via Google OAuth sign-in. We use this solely to identify your account.
• YouTube Video Titles: When you browse YouTube, video titles visible on your screen are sent to our server for AI classification. We do not collect video URLs, watch history, or any other YouTube data.
• User Preferences: Keywords, trusted creator names, and AI context text you enter are stored in Chrome's sync storage on your device.
• Usage Data: We track how many AI classification requests you make per day to enforce plan limits.
• Payment Information: If you purchase a Pro plan, your payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers or bank details. We only store your plan tier and expiry date.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To classify YouTube video titles using AI and return relevance results
• To enforce daily usage limits based on your plan
• To activate and manage Pro plan subscriptions
• To process referral rewards

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Groq AI: Video titles are sent to Groq's API for classification. Groq's privacy policy applies to this data.
• Razorpay: Payment processing. Razorpay's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Google: OAuth authentication. Google's privacy policy applies.
• Firebase / Google Cloud: We use Firebase Firestore to store user account data securely.

4. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Video titles sent for classification are not stored — they are processed in real time and discarded. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.

5. Security

All communication between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS. Your JWT session token is stored locally in Chrome's storage and is never shared. Firestore access is restricted to our backend server only — no client-side database access is permitted.

6. Children's Privacy

YTFocus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent by uninstalling the extension
